Megan Gillis
Producer, Production, & Event Manager
Megan is the co-Founder and Executive Director of City Lyric Opera. She believes in creating art that is engaging, affordable, and accessible to all people and is thrilled to be at the helm of a company that works diligently to create a welcoming platform for young opera singers and brings together the community of NYC to experience opera in new ways.
Megan is also an active event and production manager and has worked with organizations such as The New School, The People’s Theatre, Nancy Manocherian’s the cell theatre, dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, Steinway & Sons, World Music Projects, Carnegie Hall, SiriusXM, Lincoln Center, and The Drama Desk Awards
Megan credits her success in event and theatre production to being raised by a long line of public school teachers, a love of organization, and looking fantastic in all black.
